Science 10 Earth and Space Science: Energy Transfer in Natural Systems

This site has a downloadable lesson plan for the experiment 'Observe the Greenhouse Effect in a Jar'.  In this experiment students place two thermometers in the sun and record the temperature.  Once thermometer is then placed inside of a glass jar, the temperatures of each thermometer are then recorded every minute for 10-15 minutes.
