Who: Homelinks Art Class Grades 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12
When: 9am to 1pm on Friday October 13th 2017
Where: Art Barn Studio located at 805 25th Avenue South
*We will be meeting at the Art Barn, students can be dropped off at 5min to 9am and can be picked up at 1pm.
What: You will need to bring a bagged lunch and water.  You should wear clothes that you are comfortable doing art in (things may get messy).

Today we reviewed the Principles of Art and Elements of Design, then we went for a walk around town to look at local art.  We looked at murals, sculptures and architecture.  While we walked students completed sketches of examples of art elements and principles.  

We started the year off right with a fun orientation day.  Parents and students were introduced to our teachers, provided relevant school information and students gathered in the gym to compete on a number of challenges.  Check out some of the fun we had.

Over the next couple of classes we will be playing soccer.  Take a moment to learn about the 17 Laws of soccer according to International Federation of Soccer (FIFA - ​Fédération Internationale de Football Association).

I am so excited to start building our bicycle campers this week!  Nearly everything is in place.  This Friday we will begin by building the bases for our bicycle campers.  You MUST bring the following items to class this week:

• closed toed shoes
• sketch of bicycle camper base with dimensions (ex. 6' x 3')

Please bring the following extra items to class if you have them: 

• screw driver
• safety glasses
• carpenter square
